Truth be told, I thought I had read somewhere that Beria would take women to soundproofed cells somewhere--probably at NKVD headquarters--and violently rape them. I really hope your version is correct. At least the woman in your story got a great meal and great wine--not something to be sneezed at in the USSR during the 30's.
