Nice 1st shot. It's a pretty good standalone short story

but there is plenty of potential to turn this into something

longer and involving more characters.

I really like how you've endeared Anna to us. Poor things been through a lot already. Her mother was totally kickass and from what we've seen of Anna so far, those genes run strong.

Your work is descriptive and flows well. It's easy to ready and identify with your characters.
