It was sad, emotional, lonely, and sweet for moment, then so painful. I really hope there is more to this.

This first chapter has my heart in my throat! The characters are not one dimensional. The situation is familiar but by no means cliche, it's heartbreaking. That is due to how well you constructed the narrative... forgive my verbal diarrhea, just tryin' to say great job and I would love to see more.

A big thank you to everybody for your wonderful compliments! This is my first story I've ever written and I did it on a whim. For all of you outraged by the cliff-hanger ending, there are multiple parts to this story. I have submitted the second part (which is a little steamier) and it is pending.
