I think you peeked ahead to chapter 7 (due to post in three days), because that's the opening sentence. Won't say yet whether it's true or not, though.
I really hope Buddy didn't get hurt by Hoagie, since someone would have told him at the inn that they saw him take Atid away. I don't think he was using Atid for sex. I hope Buddy is back in the next chapter. I hope ATid is willing to leave. Please don't let Buddy be just like the others! He seems different. He seems like he wants Atid to be free and truly free, not just treat him better than his other owners like the pilot did.
