This is a beautiful piece of writing, absolutely wonderful. You have written something truly erotic, even if it lacked a smutty appeal. One of the best stories I've read on here in some time.

Could be the perfect beginning of some 9 or 10-Page-Story, but standing alone it's no erotic story...

You dear author, have this ability to write in the fashion I most love to read. Style, wit, dialogue, word-smithing and things of that ilk. The way you bring on a whimsical feeling, being so immersed in your characters, takes my breath away.

Just a minor correction

To shake your head is to move it side to side and (unless you are Greek or Bulgarian) is to say no; to nod your head is to move it up and down and (same caveat) is to say yes. With a mute character, you have to watch that: you have Melody shaking her head in contexts that mean "Yes". Confusing!
