I want angela to emerge victorious. Perhaps the two former maids are willing to crush Vonda for a reward.

I agree. Angela should come out of this victorious in some way. Maybe she won't be returned to her previous lifestyle, but she should get some measure of revenge on Vonda.

Not the knight in shining armor, then.

So Brandon has proven to be something of a cad then.

Angela seems to be fast running out of options to escape, with even the people who (supposedly) care the most for her content to see her chained and imprisoned.

Understandable - she does make a most attractive bird in a cage!

I did notice a few typos in this chapter.
