You wrote that you ejected the DVD, then noticed the label was not the original, and put it back into the player, "noting the current location", before pressing play.
That's the sequence for a Video Cassette in a VCR, not a DVD. When you first ejected the disc, the "current location" would have reset.
So, I'm guessing you swapped acronyms without bothering to think about it? No offense, and there were a lot of other mistakes in this story, but it's details like that which can really distract you from the story, you know?

Don't know why but....
...the comment about Fantasy spelled with an F instead instead of a PH sounded picky but then the the comment on DVD vs tape didnt???
I guess Phantasy sounded intentional
