I'm not the best reader to comment

on Asian poetry forms, but I very much like the image this poem presents, however ambiguous it is--is the bird diving or has it flown away off the surface of the water?

The one thing I might question is the word "sudden," which seems to imply an observer's judgment, which I thought was to be avoided. But you know more about this than I do, so I'll just shut up.
