Glad you're back, girlie! As always, your writing is great and the chapter flowed beautifully, in my opinion. Mac and Lily's scene in his office was SO emotional! I was practically feeling his rage and Lily's fear...you did such an amazing job getting the emotions across. It just helped add so much more depth to the characters.

Whoa-ho-ho . . . WOW!!

It felt SO fucking GOOOOOD to see Andrei and Loretta again! I have missed them and their antics so much. The entire interaction between them was deliciously bombastic! I'm always in awe of how JazCullen taps into such relatable emotions, thoughts and personality traits in her characters, making them seem so real you actually SEE them and their actions :D

We got to see more of Kallum's character at this juncture, which makes me yearn for more of him. He seems to me a culmination of all the dominant males in this saga, so far, and that makes him so enticing!

I'm glad to see that Lily is seeing the depth of consequences her actions thus far are and can have. She's a smart gal, so it really pissed me off that she reacted as she did when realizing that Mac hadn't been a monk up until the time he'd realized who and what she was to him. By his very character, you can bet he won't be seeking some other woman to sate his needs and desires for Lily - and she should know this just as surely as she knew he'd have just stood there and let her destroy him.

I get that she's determined to claim her mate, that denying the mate pull is the LAST thing she'd ever do, but why can't she sense and feel the fear, pain and anguish Mac is going through as he seems to be able to sense and feel in her? Especially when Mac's is so raw and powerful it brings him such physical agony!

Mac's actions are certainly neanderthal, lol, but he's not an ass! He seems to be trying to protect so many at serious cost to himself. Karn put it best - the potential situation between Mac and Lily has the power to destroy the Praetorians thereby, at the least, leaving the other 'children' unprotected. Then there's the belief that there'd be a to-the-death battle between Andrei and Mac should he succumb to the mate-pull.

Its ironic that while Andrei is coming to grips with and facing the need to rein in his over-protectiveness, and acknowledge Lily's right and need to claim her mate, and said mate's right to love and protect her, the Praetorians, Mac and other characters are still very much in fear of death-by-Andei :$

Thanks for the update! While I am not thrilled that my favorite LE author can't post as regularly as before, I understand and look forward to when you can post more of this great story. I am really liking the development of Lilly and Mac and the battle of wills that is going to take place. Long and drawn out can make the ending that much better. It appears Lilly needs a bit of confidence building to go with her control lessons and Mac needs to be knocked from his high horse a bit as well to create the equality that long (oh so very long with Vamps mixed in) relationships need.

Like Their Parents

With Kallum taking after their mother and Lily taking after Andrei, the pack has an interesting and exciting future ahead of it. But forget the future for now. If Lily is the match to her father, Mac is in bigger trouble than he knows. I mean who does he choose to take on Andrei or Lily? And is one really any different than the other? Well since Lily is still discovering her powers, it might be easier and healthier to take on Andrei.

I have been a reader to Lit for about 1.5 years and in that time I have read and followed every word you have written. Hardly a week went by without a submission. And then last Dec. you said you were taking a break from writing. You lied! You didn't write any non-human, but you did write 2 very beautiful romance storys. So you have not stopped as you said you would. So Jaz do yourself a favor and truly take a break this time. My god girl everyone deserves a vacation even from the things we do just for fun. So please go enjoy yourself because the better you feel the better your storys will be. Of course how they could get any better I don't know, I already think you are the best author on Lit.

Anyway go have fun and when you get back you can tell me the great things Lily has planned to get to Mac! HEHE-HE

With Lily's unique powers... Is she more powerful than Mac, or her father? Will she get the chance to prove how powerful she really is? During her training she was holding back against Mac. I know she could never hurt him, but she deserves to stretch her wings and prove herself...and learn more about her abilities.

Does Mac not know what could happen to a wolf if her mate rejects her? Does he know she could possibly go rogue and would have to be destroyed? Even if she is only part wolf her wolf has already shown she can take over. At the moment she is doing what her mate told her to do but if she feels he does not want her what would happen?

mac is playing with way to much fire, he may have the fighting experience, but if i take lily's heritage into account, she and the others have powers that no vampire or were can match. if pushed i do think lily and the other hybrids are inescapably more able to kill than anyone thinks

That alone had me rolling because I know I'm going to be hearing that a lot in my near future. I swear the more you write about Andrei the more he reminds me of my husband. So ready to rip someone's head off at the drop of a hat, worse when it comes to family, all the while trying to suppress any lingering demons in an effort to become a better person for us. I totally identify with Loretta playing referee, then having to calm him down before she can finally let her own anger out and bash him over the head with a little reason. Lord knows he's not the easiest man to live with and though he drives me insane constantly, his heart's always in the right place, and I just can't help love my wonderful man.

I love how despite all of Lily's insecurities she is blissfully unaware of just how much she has everyone wrapped around her little finger even Karn, now that's power. I'm kind of torn between wanting to see more of the other "kids" develop in the next chapter (Kallum mostly and for some reason Kothari I see a lot of interesting things coming from that one) and wanting Lily to do a serious number on Mac. *chills* It's going to be so much fun to watch Mac buckle.

I'm finally caught up on all your postings and we Jaz freaks all know waiting for the next one is going to be painful, but for crying out loud don't apologize. Life happens and you have proven over and over again that you are most definitely worth the wait. Please take care of you because without you we don't have this. I genuinely hope whatever it is/was works out for the best I dare say we all do since we love our Jaz. Great chapter I can't wait to read this again. I know this is going to be another masterpiece.
