"You can imagine his surprise - when he saw his own eyes" There's supposed to be a young child in the back seat. "The one little thing" her husband couldn't give her was a baby.
A bit dark, in that there was no hope of the "happy ending". But nicely written; I liked it.
I guessed wrong at first. Until I started reading I was hopeful that the story would be "Chevy Van" by Sammy Johns. I liked the story. Keep writing.
Nice twist.
Well written, nicely paced and a hell of a good ride. All that and she was nice enough to free him for the happy ending he can now create. Thank you!
