I've enjoyed your other stories, and this is an excellent addition. The opening paragraphs make a particularly fantastic piece of writing, and the story remains fun and interesting from there.

One note: I was distracted a couple of times by shifts in tense--for example, you used "strokes" instead of "stroked". I'm easily distracted by small things like that, so I think there weren't many other typos.

The longer chapter thing is definitely a big improvement. I'd be disappointed if the next chapter was less than five Lit pages long.

By the way, what happened to the other stories that you had in mind, the two untitled ones (the superhero/villian, and the vampire stories) and the story you've titled Anna (about an android from the future)? Are they still in the works?

Love it. There's a couple of typos which bugged me (who's Jamie?) and you lapse from past to present tense occasionally, but the concept and the writing were near flawless.

Just here to answer some questions and address points you’ve made. Firstly, an apology for any mistakes in this story. I don’t have an editor and I usually only proof read my stories once or twice. I know. I’m a terrible human being. Still, for those of you who are keeping score of my typos and grammar rape I hope it isn’t too much of a distraction from the story. Also, some anonymous commenter asked ‘who’s Jamie?’ which made me lol. Jamie is a character from my other series whose name has obviously popped up in place of someone in this story because I’ve been writing it in tandem with other works. Sorry for that colossal piece of dumbassery on my part.

For Jedi_Kahn I’ll say you can go to my author bio on lit for a rough estimate of what I’m up to and how far along I am with my various efforts. db448 said that they liked how I balanced light and darker aspects of the story to which I must say thanks very much! A member named icecloud said this was the best story they’ve read since Angels, Demons and Alex which was great to hear since I’m a huge bashfullyshameless fan myself. I’ll also try and be more specific about Gregory’s martial arts training in future instalments.

Many others have commented saying some wonderful things about this story which, I hope you’ll be happy to hear, has indeed bumped it up my to-do list. I’m writing a bit of this and Aphrodisia whenever I can now with a smattering of my other stories getting some time in between.

Also, I don’t mean to brag (he lied) but The Missing Dragon is currently hitting the top of the sci-fi section’s Hall of Fame. I don’t know how long it’ll stay there but THANK YOU very much for helping one of my stories reach the top of that list. The stories you see on my author page are really my first attempts at writing for an audience other than me so it means a great deal that so many of y’all like them.

As an aside, I won’t be breaking the next instalment into smaller chapters. It will hopefully be 5+ Lit pages in length. This is partially because the first part hit the top lists and if (and now I really am sounding big headed) the next instalment gets an equally great reaction from you guys then I don’t want to clog up the Sci-Fi top lists with several chapters of a single story. JazCullen, for example, is a wonderfully talented writer here on lit (and firmly planted in my favourites) but because she breaks up her stories into chapters the NonHuman top list reads a lot like her author index page. There’s definitely nothing wrong with it and I see why many author’s do it (largely because it makes the story easier to proof, publish and easier for the reader to read). Hell, I do it myself with Aphrodisia and TDT. I just think this story is better published as it is and the next instalment will follow the same suit.

Definitely a good fantasy story. The beginning slightly reminded me of The Neverending Story, in that some guy running from his bullies, ends up in a fantasy world.

I'm very interested in what happens next, and what the ring is, etc.

Humor is unusual in many fantasy stories. It was new to me and worked out rather well, I think. I greatly enjoyed the story and I usually go through about four or five a night until I find something that grabs my interest.

I never thought an orc could be used as a sex object. Nice job. Great story, I'll be reading more of your work. Keep it up.

Alrighty here it is the best praise I can give is also short and slightly crass.....Give me the next chapter here before I have to hurt someone. Really well told and I'm thinking that I don't want to wait the usual multiple months that some of the authors on here take. Only consolation is that all the good ones are the ones that take forever to write instead of just throwing crap at the wall and seeing what sticks.

Its an amazingly well thought out story, and incredibly well written, but it needs more! I'm craving another chapter. What happens with the ring? What about the cook's family? Do they ever get back home? Does Gregory manage to get Freddy out? What does Freddy do when/if he gets out?

At first when I saw the 'there are no dragons in here' I was like 'awww' but the addition of the hawt orc woman totally turned it around for me. Love it and I can't wait to see more of this story!

very good. i didn't see where there was an american tone, i thought it was definately english. i am very curious what happens next for greg. there was 1 typo i saw & that's where he was refered to as Jamie (in 1 of the sex scenes i believe). however it didn't detract from my enjoyment any :D

I liked this story as much as Aphrodisia. It is a long wait between your efforts but I enjoy them when they arrive. I especially liked the twist of the Orcs being the more honorable species.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. The fucking was great and the setting is very interesting. I would recommend to continue developing the story line and further the development of each character. It would be a shame to see this story turn into a mindless fuck fest, becoming nothing more than a quick release. After all, people become much more desirable after you get to know them.

You're an incredible author, and I can't believe that it took me this long to find you and your work! Thank God I decided to have a look at the 'favourite stories' list; otherwise I would've missed this absolute gem.

The plot is gripping, the characters are realistic and the story flows without any stiltedness whatsoever. Also, you've achieved that which only a few talented authors are able to do, which is to write sex scenes that are realistic without all that bullshi*t some of the other stories I've read have in abundance.

For some reason, all the truly superb plots fall in the categories of non human and sci fi. You are right up there with bashfullyshameless, manyeyedhydra, JoeBrolly and farmerboy. while disappointed to see the it wasn't a continuation of "the defiled temple", was soon cheered up when I found it to be at least on par with your other works. Really quite excellent.

Your superbly written story has made a wonderful day fantastic. I haven't read too many stories here on Literotica, but I firmly believe that there cannot be enough stories with characters like Gregory. I was cheering him on the entire time when frequently I find myself groaning at the actions of protagonists in concupiscent stories. You have created a marvelous world filled with colorful characters, and I'm sure to have trouble being patient for the second installment.

As for those who were disappointed by the minimal amount of dragon in this story: To be fair the title does say that the dragon is missing.

I find that the best stories are the ones that develop the plot on pace with the sex, and your story did not disappoint. It was very well written, with a great ending. The only thing i would've liked to see was Greg kick Freddie's ass, but maybe we'll get to that in the next chapter? Heres hoping. Thanks for the wonderful read, and please keep them coming.
