Moody in a way. Simple but subtle.

The poem shows the difference between a narrator (lyrical subject) and the poem itself. The issue of faith is treated in an interesting way too. Nothing is clear here. Only the bitching attitude, most likely fully justified, is a constant here. And still, the poem ends in a good-natured accent.

Great to find this

It is nice when a latest comment leads back to a poem like this (your back catalogue of poems goes beyond intimidating).

The cleverness is laid back and aimed dead centre on the target. It is subtle and beautifully drawn. The ambivalence (always good in a poem or story) is integral to the poem.

Hey, why not write a story or two?

Senna and Cleardaynow,

If you re-visit, thanks for the comments. To be honest, this isn't a very good poem IMO. I was hitting words with a 2 by 4. In fact, it was more like scream therapy after a 3rd glass of Chardonnay. (yours truly has RA and was drowning the pain of a flare-up one night.)

That said, it has some promising elements I intend to play with in a substantial edit in hopefully the near future.
