Not sure

The Hannah character is almost incredibly naive for someone raised in a small town in Canada. Everyone is dead and she goes out hunting with a baseball bat, simply incredible. Anyone with half a brain would have gotten a gun and ammo, found a house with a supply of firewood, as there should be lots around because everyone is dead. Food would be the most important thing and that brings me to taking a coyote for food and not taking wonderful moose meat, good grief.

OK, will follow and hope it starts to make more sense, as at least Bill seems to know his way around, although why he is using a crossbow instead of a rifle is a bit beyond me.

Good so far...

I see Hannah as being a suburban girl, not so much a rural girl. The crossbow makes perfect sense in a situation where resupply of ammunition is doubtful or impossible; a bolt can be re-used, a cartridge cannot. One minor complaint though: an experienced hunter will shoot an animal in the heart, not the head, and even a modern crossbow has a rather slow rate of fire, much too slow for a follow-up shot. All in all, a good start. I shall await part two anxiously.
