This does seem like a fairly superficial story, without strong characterizations in this first chapter. Perhaps something interesting will happen later on.

This story shows similar dark picture as Misterstan's story "Seven Facts About Your Wife". A dark story may be interesting against their picture. A child from a fragile family can become a cynic member of the sociaty. Good story I understand you well Author.

I have read the 3d chapter and it is good story. He comes back from the cynism to the normal people group, however a beautiful damsel in distress with a half orphan baby will assist the turn....... This is a true Christmass story from one of the best Authors in the Lit and in the SOL.

Evidently I either missed this series or have read it and forgot. Either way, I like nearly all your stories. I remember one that I didn't like but don't remember it. Please keep writing.

Not a nice guy

Actually he is despicable. But the story does make it's point. Sadly, it the world we live in, EVERYTHING is for sale, and first on the block are peoples morals. People will do ANYTHING for a fer measly bucks. Just the other day, I heard about an 18 year old girl, on holiday and partying in Spain, that gave TWENTY FOUR guys blowjobs, in a crowded nightclub, while everyone was recording video. And what was her prize? A single free drink at the bar, worth $5.
I think the guy in the story is wasting his money! People are FAR cheaper than he thinks!

Reads just as good second time around...

Someone is really bad at MATH

1. Unk Sam took 50% of the $5M (death tax)
2. 35 bought GFs/wives = $3.5M
3. Our hero has no money to continue his BS dating into a Ch. 02.

bad at math?

maybe i am missing something Annony but isn't 30 times at 1000 dollars a pop 30,000 dollars? .... Not sure about the tax point as I am not an accountant but I don't remember having to give half of my 200k inheritance to taxes .....

Some one can't do the math

5 million is tax free. 35 fuck is 35 k he didn't even make it a 100 k he still has 5 million plus what ever interest he got his n his money.
