I love the real-world possibility of this. I can easily see it happening in an everyday relationship.

Fine, enjoyable story. But readers, please. You complain that the LW category is used for stories of cheating wives, and then complain when it is used for a truly loving wife. This story is in the correct category and I hope the writer keeps going with more.

Just the opening paragraphs made this one great for me. The idea of a Honey I'm home goose into the freezer had me laughing for five minutes. As one who was married for 31 years I had to think back on some of the crazy times in my former life. There were some fun times. Good reminder!! Maybe I should send this one to my ex.

We are on our third chest type freezer. The first one only lasted about 8 years. The second one was smaller and lasted about 28 years. The current one is going on 30 but now that we are old, it will likely outlive us. Haven't had to defrost it in quite a while. Thanks for the memory.

I thought this was going to be another way the husband found out his wife was cheating story. Something to do with why the freezer was broken BUT it was not the husband.

Thankfully I was wrong and it ended up a truly loving wife story.

Fun little thing and thankfully between a couple in love instead of cheaters.

Some years ago I was a government contractor handling all of their various alarm and access systems. The Navy and USMC held their annual ball on-site one year. The following work day it was noticed that a copy machine in an office area upstairs had the glass cracked all to hell and no one could figure out how it happened. I explained that at least one of the ladies at the event for certain had an 8 1/2" x 11" color photocopy of her ass and related pink parts. Great story. Parents gave me their 1962 Sears chest freezer over 6 feet long and steel.lasted until 2000. Yes they are heavy. When to an appliance parts sore for a new seal and head liner I guess . Gave the model number and they asked are you sure and was told the only part they could get for it was the screws.

The last line bumped a four star story to five. Good job.

First you need 2 regular sized buckets (one filled with warm water) a large sponge & a one liter plastic cup, Empty the freezer.

Check that the drain plug is in place. Using the cup, pour warm water over the ice buildup.

While someone empties the bucket with ice, the pouring water on the ice can continue.

Add warm water when necessary.

Use the sponge to clean out the water in the freezer bottom.

If you’ve been diligent, nothing will be thawed.

Fastest way to defrost with no scraping to accidentally puncture the coils.
