There are so many great stories of his to choose from, but I do think The Naughty Family was one of his best. It's funny, I get the impression he felt it was a minor work, a bit of a throwaway, but I think it was more significant than that. It was a story that vividly portrayed the intensity and power of hardcore incestuous sex.

The heart of this story is the relationship between the mother and son. Making the son autistic was a master stroke. It makes him seem younger, more innocent. I would’ve liked to have seen the story develop, focussing just on them. But, sadly, that will never be.
