Damn, these stories are really good. I love the imagery of the predator emerging from the water and stalking her prey. And the erotic writing is fuckin' hot.

Frogs

Love the story, but don't you know frogs can breathe through their skin?

Albino Underdark frogs

Glad you love the story, Anonymous! And yes, I do, our little frog friends are amazing. :)

The albino frogs of the Underdark unfortunately can't stay submerged permanently or even as long as their Surface cousins because they tend to be found in shallow ponds with lower concentrations of dissolved oxygen in the water, which is able to keep small things for them to eat and keep away the larger aquatic predators that do breathe 100% underwater and could ambush from beneath like a shark. The white frogs breathe more through lungs as well and crawl onto rock and burrow in mud part time to hide their shape and scent, mud which is more often found around intentional agriculture like that isolated farm Sirana found, so the Drow with some survival training know those frogs are generally a good sign of an underground waterway not going into the very deep water and even being closer to civilization!

It's a good life for a Deep Amphibian. ;)
