About Infidelity
No matter how the story came out Josie did betray her husband. The husband did right to let her go originally. Don't really believe that he could ever completely forgive her. Good story. Keep it up.
What a great story
Finding out that Blake was gay made this an extremely complicated ending. If Josie would just have trusted her husband with that information his hurt feelings and heartache would have been avoided. The question is, would he still have made the discoveries he did without leaving her in the states?
Very interesting. Cheating wife story that isn't. Also one that makes you think Excellent work.
Fun read . . .
. . . that's enough, a fun read of a good story. There isn't a lot of need to look too deeply into the characters.
Sorry i dont see the husband as an idiot
The wife set him up in a losing game withholding important information. The fact that she tried to relay this information after the fact and he ignored it does not shift the blame from her to him. It actually makes it more obvious she had an agenda she was following and did not want her husband privy to. Emotionally and honestly she did betray her husband and in those regards she cheated on him. If she refused to go on the trip because she was pregnant and had worries not telling him was the equivalent of telling him she did not love or trust him. I would have divorced for for that alone......
Face it..she is the problem.
Enough said.
Typical Stultus
Very enjoyable fantasy.... Oh yes, she betrayed him in many ways...
dont wnat to say I Told ya ... BUT.....
Most of stulotus stories are crap... and this one really is pretty typical. The idea that somehow another this is all the husband's fault is offensive. It seems that the idiot author is unable to remember his own story . The wife engaged deceit and subterfuge in chapter one... in actions in thoughts and in deeds . Yet the end a chapter 2 we have Blake... A man who was 2 hours away from death until the husband and his new sonar found him and led to his rescue ... A man who several times attempted to steal or get access to the husband's research in chapter one ...is now yelling at him calling him an idiot over his actions with Josie.?
Like I said its offensive and it has no actual connection to what happened in the first chapter.
Surely the actions of Blake and josey contributed something as to why the husband believed that they were engaged in a conspiracy...?
The solution of the two wifes / women to become lesbians or Bi sexual was predictable and rather how boring. Yawn...
and finally what is the deal with all of his brothers and male family members dying off at such an amazingly early age with often bizarre accidents? It's a sophistical improbability .
Yet this theme is carried throughout the story but it really has no actual connection to the Chain of events. Perhaps the author was trying to show that this is why the husband was suspicious of his wife and her activities and connections with Blake... But if that is what the author was trying to do then he failed miserably.
Typical?
nope! i dont know where people get that idea. Stultus' stories are actually very varied. not as well written like Rehnquist or DQS, but it surely is different.
no siree
A story no siree just a wasteof ink.
Liked this one a lot...
I have always like this story a great deal. The main character was extremely flawed, the wife had her own issues, and there were the usual mixed assumptions, lack of communication, and naked women in the Med (ok that is not ususal but should be). A very good story.
Of course, I like Madelynne too.
Well done.
Michael
Enjoyed
For me, your story took a little getting into but once I got going, it was enjoyable.
Actually, I read the notes after Chapter one, started to read it and then passed. Looking at the comments on chapter two, I decided to go for it.
They were both dummies, neither one - he or Josie, opened up about their conduct and thinking and so he - not her, decided there was infidelity in the works and acted on it.
Of course, that led him to his future, money, a desireable mate and then ultimately two wives. I thought the ending was most guys wet dream.
At any rate, fairly good story - just took a little curiosity to get into it.
I advanced a 5, hopefully overcome all of the 'Don't Like Anything Crowd' that always seem to find their great critic overtures by way of the written word. BTW, they hide in dark rooms!
Thanks.
Good Story Until the End
Another author who has no clue how to end a story; took what I would probably have rated a "4" or "5" and made it a "3". Still, a very interesting story and compelling characters. Despite the portrayal of the wife as a victim here, this character clearly was dishonest & deceitful towards her spouse. To that end, I don't believe the husband acted in any way improperly with how he treated her; after all, with his proposed lifespan, he couldn't wait forever for her to sign the divorce papers. Had she been consistently open honest with him, their story could have ended much more positively. I also consider the two women's tryst at the end to be adultery.

story was ok until the finish
sorry the ending didnot seem pausable. just didnot work for me..is he in a morman sect that believes in bigimy.. gave you a 3.. after a poor ending
Good story but the ending was a step too far
This is the first of your stories that I've read. The story was interesting and developed well. He only issue I have is the ending. It was too much of a leap to go from a guy who ditches his wife for perceived infidelity to living with 2 women.
Good stuff
But the good retired navy officer forgot to recall all of the other intrusions and theft of property prior to the move to Turkey. And what about the erronious death by explosion??? Why drop that, his one benefactor mysteriously dies in a CO2 acvident, i was expecting some sort of sinister plot.
Didn't like it very much
But I'm not going to rate it.
There was some grave inconsistancies. This guy is supposedly driven to do this one thing, eschewing all female contact just to get his sonar running. And yet, he allows her into his life even after he's made his feelings clear, their sex life isn't that strong a motivator and she's betrayed him twice.
That doesn't jive with what comes afterward.
He kicked his wife because he doubted that his wife was cheating on him whereas she was not.He seperated, bore a son with another woman. His Suspicion wrecked him .
He got two women.fuck dem.Im horny
Lucky man with his dick having the best of holes.
what?
Can a woman cheat without actually cheating? what a stupid question, of course she can. So, what we can take from this story is that he should have trusted his wife when she repeatedly lied and betrayed him? She never told her husband, whom she loves so much about blake or that he had a son. Yes, he might have been a tad hasty and somewhat dense at times but clearly he thought she betrayed him in every possible way while she got huffy and never explained. I get that you didnt want to write some cookie cutter cheating wifes tale, but did it have to be so stupid? after everything that happened, his new woman almost couldnt wait to start banging his american wife and are we supposed to believe she was waiting for him the whole time back in the states?
two women to bang.who cares about cheating.guys enjoy the threesome.
story might be stupid but sex is hot.
I blame the wife!
Only because the husband was very specific about his suspicions. His wife was no stranger to his feelings or thoughts. Indeed she took actions that she knew were against her husband's wishes. The wife on the other hand told her husband nothing about her relationship with her childhood friend. She also forgot to tell her husband that she was pregnant before he left for Greece. With her history of "betrayal", what was the husband supposed to think? I mean really, what would any man think? To blame the husband for distancing himself from a hurtful situation is unrealistic. If he kept giving his wife the benefit of the doubt, to the contrary of the evidence, everyone would have called him a fool if his wife had really been cheating. This is a classic case of poor female communication, but since most women can't accept responsibility for their actions in a failed relationship, it's the husband's fault.....NOT
Wife cheated; Husband idiot; 5* story
Wife cheated; Husband idiot; 5* story. As usual.
Excellent Story
Normally I read the other comments ... this time I haven't bothered.
I'm sure someone has written negatively about this or that. Personally I don't care for that drivel.
What matters to me ... is the story entertaining? Do I look forward to the next page ... or chapter?
On my scale you succeeded admirably and I thank you for taking the time/effort to share with us.
Hello??
Are any of you people interested in buying a bridge? Ocean-front property? Uranium mine? Apparently you'll buy about anything. Wifey is all forgiven because Blake is gay?! How do we know? Because Blake says so? That's all the proof you need? Oh yeah, Blake has his 'partner' with him. Look, for all we know, Blake will fuck anything with a pulse. When evaluating Wifey's behavior, compare how she treated Blake's secrets with how she treated her husband's secrets. Then think about HER secret. Think about the father-son moments that never got a chance to happen. You could argue that the father deserved it, but what about his son? I enjoyed the story but I can't buy that bridge without a LOT more proof.
More poly crap
Ditto Winterfoxx
Five stars.
Lots of disconnects
The primary one is that he has to spend all his time protecting his research from his own wife who seems perfectly willing to steal it from him. I don't care if she cheated or not. Stealing from me and blatantly disregarding my wishes about my life work is sufficient reason to get rid of her. Only a complete moron would put up with her behavior. If she stabbed him twice would THAT be enough reason to dump her? In addition, by giving the info to Blake she IS choosing another man over her own husband.
The early death thing is kind of weird but I guess i can see how it might drive him. But there are pieces related to his brother Dave's death that are just left hanging. Dave is murdered? Why? Who are these shadow killers? It's all very vague and unresolved.
Blake's diatribe was complete crap. Josie gave Blake his notes 3 times. Blake was caught the first time with them on his back seat. The second time she gave him access to the safe and Blake's driver stole the files. She blatantly lied about her actions and felt she was justified in doing what she did.. Only the 3rd time was after his "death". Blake describes Josie as "the sweetest and most LOYAL woman I have ever known in my life", which she was, to BLAKE! Loyal women do not steal their husband's research. He did not trust her for good reason. She was a thief twice over.
It's bad enough in these stories that a husband puts up with terrible behavior from his wife that no reasonable person would. It's worse when you have another character deliver a preachy sermon with dishonest information and everyone else just nods their head about how "wise" he is.
It's great that he is rich and gets to fuck two sexy women. I hope he lives to 100. I hope he's also smart enough to lock up his money away from Josie who he cannot trust.
one thing
"Yonca still wanted very much to marry me, or at least be able to give my name to our son,"
So, putting the father's name on a birth cert. would have accomplished the later.
Harry is such a twit.
Harry is an all or nothing idiot. He is like the person who turns the heat completely off in the middle of winter because the house is too warm.
Saying that all of Stulus' stories are crap is one of his more stupid statements.
He made a similar idiot statement about StangStar's story The Bank.
Stultus has some very good stories. This one could use some work but was still a decent story.
Harry on the other hand just continues to show how stupid he is.
It is often said that past wrongs are the seeds for future misfortune...
so I think that Josie's betrayal of her husband's, no family's life work cross any veil of national security need or patriotic duty. It planted the seeds of doubt so when she was seen betraying him yet again while he is away for months why should he try to save the marriage? Remember Josie not only did not respect his decisions regarding his reserach she actively worked against him. So after Josie finds out he is alive she fails to mention he has a son over a five year period and only when her friend's life is threatened do she reappear. Now we find out that she had been faithful all that time waiting for what? I guess being faithful only applies to men so now we know who she was fucking over the 6 year period. I can certainly blame the husband for letting the situation linger without resolution but an idiot? No way! She never explained the situation with her friend Blake being gay and having a life partner. For soemone she loves she has no problem being months and years away from him. Also, now that the husband is rich and successful she returns with his son and agrees to share his girlfriend. A good story but the ending seems too ideal to be realistic.
Let down?
Maybe, a little. The misdirection(s) were interesting. However, the story seemed rushed. The writing was good, again. But, little emotion.
I accepted in the first story that the hero took the disloyal wife back, though I couldn't quite understand 'why.' However, when she got the divorce papers she never let him know that she was pregnant? She never explained why she gave up her papers?
A lot of unanswered questions.
Again, I was struck by the lack of emotion in the tale.
I'm glad the guy gets two chicks to bang out at sea, doing what he loves.
I just sort of hoped for more.
Nevertheless, a fun and enjoyable tale that was very well written.
Let down doesn't cover it
So she didn't have sex with anyone else. He made himself clear about his wishes for his work. She stole, lied, and disrespected him. She cheated in every other way than sex. How can anyone not see he was justified in not trusting her. Hell, she didn't want a divorce, yet she didn't do everything possible to let him know he was a father. Sending letters? Is that the best she could do? He might have been a bit of an idoit, but I don't seem to be able to run out of nasty things to call her.
Ah, but the author had to make everyone happy, except the readers. Married to two women, bisexual threesomes, and extremely extended family is every mans dream, right? BULLSHIT!
These "miscommunication" stories are almost always unbelievable.
The only way she could communicate with him is by mail? And he would not read one letter from her? Just not believable. Off the top of my head I can think of 10 different ways she could inform him that he had a son-and that would certainly open communications. Total B.S.
???
Sorry, I don't know who Harry is, but what exactly is twit?
Oh, and I liked this story, as well as most of StangStar's. (though it seems like at least two people are writing those stories, lol)
I'm looking forward to reading the rest of Stultus's work. So thank you for this story and hopefully the same for the ones I haven't read yet. Keep up the good fight!!
Thanks, JJ
I hope he demands DNA testing before he accepts -
that Josie's whelps are his progeny.
A really good story BUT she is not to be trusted.
She had money, she could have sent a personal emissary. She betrayed by giving his research away TWICE before she heard that he was dead and gave it away again. All to puff her dad AND her childhood friend (who appeared to be too close every time) without telling her husband they were friends since childhood. I don't believe that shit no matter what Blake said. Get the DNA on the kid.
Read it again...
Gulp...double gulp.
Okay...the guy is an asshole. Period. And he effectively communicated he was an asshole.
She was NOT loyal to her hubby as jasonh clearly pointed out. She was loyal to her father, to her country, to Blake, but BARELY to her husband. She thinks some sex, some meals and a mostly sexless marriage suddenly means she is 'owed' to steal his stuff AGAINST HIS WISHES and give it away...after clearly explaining everything to her. She lied and she didn't care. Period.
The Navy loved his work...but made sure the liason continued to be a man he despised and hated. Good job! Why don't we send Kissinger to mediate with the Taliban while we're at it?
Brother murdered. Shrug. No worries. WTF?
Yonca...been to Turkey. Yeah...those Muslim women are well known for their lack of desire for a husband and their free tit swinging ways. Nope, no need for marriage! Public nudity in Turkey? NO PROBLEM! I'm sure the fathers of all those grad students are happy they are getting an good education.
And then the guy goes from overworking SOB who barely has sex to a debauchee of the first water who has a floating harem. Absolutely positive he doesn't want to continued his cursed line...and three paragraphs later, the naked Muslim tits make him want kids.
And his wife? Coming back? Turning lesbian? Going polygamous? And most unbelieveabley....not badmouthing Patrick's father?
This began interestingly but it seriously went off the rails in the third act, sounding more like a fratboy fantasy. And if that was what you wanted to write, fine! But the tone seriously changed midstream.
Good story
Thanks for sharing it!
Glad he gets both of them but want DNA test.
Total and complete cluster fuck
Where to start? First, as in the first chapter, Josie does not have to open the divorce papers or be present when the marriage is dissolved. So he's been divorced from her twice (Unless he has an idiot for an attorney). Second, He was divorced a third time when he rescued the commander's stealth sub. Their agreement for his help was the signed divorce agreement which should have been handed to him the minute the sub was found. Third, Josie betrayed him several times, giving the Commander information before giving him the "false documents, so why would you believe ANYTHING she or the Commander said - period? Fourth, Josie is cheating on your again, this time with a woman. (You don't honestly believe that the Commander is gay or that in five years no one else was sharing her bed?). And your final capitulation to the happy ending with everyone sharing was just too convenient even for someone who enjoys a good ending. That said - I liked the story even with all the holes in it.
Definitely a good twist, with several valuable lessons to be derived. Thanks.
I like it.
This is a good story. Thanks for sharing.
Seriously "Huh?!?"
After reading this I mapped the issues from Chap 1 and 2.
They don't match.
She betrayed him, turned over his work, etc... Then they had a cool reconciliation.
Then she does it again
As for the "explosion", guess Texas A&M didn't get the memo, nor the SS Office, nor the tax folks, nor the military, nor several governments, nor ....
You get my drift.
Good tale. You really need a decent editor.
Since this was one of your first stories I will not cut you up as others have.
I will just make this comment. She was a cheating, unfaithful wife even if they never fucked. It is my impression that she TWICE gave his research info away to her friend.
He, of course, was stupid for not reading her communications. (I'm glad your story-writing ability has improved.)
Let's see, what would the operative word be?...
... Got it, weird!
Evidently this is the third time I have read this entertaining story.
I just skimmed the first part where she was giving away his research, I had remembered that pretty well. I read the last half of the story, it entertained me which is the reason I read. I would have divorced Josie sooner (or had an unfortunate accident happen to her) but I was pleased the way it all turned out. Rich, satisfied in your work, two wives who evidently love you (and each other), healthy children and you beat the jinx that the males of your family have had so far, still alive. I might even read this again in years to come.
