I think you meant "attentive" rather than "tentative." Attentive means paying attention, tentative means shy. Otherwise an interesting start! I'll read the rest now!

Great start, but some editing is needed to make the passage clearer. Some sentences are choppy and some of the word choices are a bit off. Great plot though!
