A good read ... kept my interest to the end ... and loved the characters

Ending was a wee bit contrived, but let's not quibble over that. You made me see that pub in York, in fact I stayed in one just like it in 1983 or thereabouts. I could taste the Sam Smith's Yorkshire Bitter as I read your story. Wonderful local colour, really good writing.

But to keep up the franchise, just one quibble: didn't rally taste of |No, didn’t really taste of

Wonderful evocation of that magical first time a young man experiences a woman fully, and your description of Joy's body is vivid. I hardly ever give a story five stars, but I did this time!

A few wee glitches, but they didn't spoil a fine tale.
