Nice story but i hate it because he knew she had given him aids but he dint do anything about it. No revenge, slut gets to die peacefully thinking she's fooled everyone by blaming her husband. Kids dont realise the truth till it's too end and cant do anything about it. Who wins in the end? The wife does.... Not acceptable for lovers of Justice.

The husband would have checked at the Navy and he could have been treated in time.He must be afraid to the AIDS which starts against the new medicines and the early dulling syndrome...........It does not matter, because so you could show chatarsis in the story end. Good story it much better as the 95% of the stories here so I give 5*****.

(In the true life the wife would have died alone and the husband would have lived because he was be detected by Navy health service in time....among his family members, friends, Navy comerads............)
It was sad his family were not there for him. It's always too late when we find out that some wives do cheat....... but so do some husbands. Her betrayal and his family deserting him when he needed them most would have killed inside before he died. You've written a good story. Thank you.................. 5 stars.

Sad Story. Kids should have trusted their Dad. He took care of them for many, many years! Why did the children fail to trust his reasons for divorcing the mother? The children were indeed ungrateful dunces. They had no reason to doubt his reasons unless they had proof that he was mentally ill. On the other hand, the Father should have come clean with the children as to his reasons, long before his death. He expected too much from them. He asked them to choose between him and their mother without explaining his reasons. Still sad! Having been an Army brat, I can easily relate to the decision to side with mom when mom and dad fight. She is there day after day while dad is gone from 6 months at a time or more.

A lesson few get to learn in life that there is a thin line between love and hate. Just because you don't agree with the way someone deals with a problem doesn't mean that its ok to turn your back on them if you really love them. There are time when you don't know all the facts and the history that make a person act the way they do.
I keep running into the same phrase that ALWAYS hurts the kids; "ask your mother/father". If neither tell the kids are left to assume. Frequently wrongly.
For this tale, in this, he was wrong.

Actually, it was more like 15,000 and most of them had been HIV positive for more than a decade.
Your story was a good one, but unless he knew about the Aids for decades the death came to swiftly.
