Good stuff! I can't wait for the next chapter.
Thank you, and--
I appreciate the encouragement. :)
Give me a bit of time to finish Chpt 4. Those first 3 were nearly 80 pages in Word and I have to produce and edit some more before I can post again. :P
Cheers!
I like following Sirana's adventures.
Read all three chapters at once and look forward to more.
looking forward to moar!
intrigue ;)
More coming soon!
Yay, you lovely readers love intrigue! :)
I have Chpt 4 finished but need to edit it. It'll post soon.
Just a warning, that slower pace returns in Chpt 4 but there's always a good reason. Chpt 5 will speed up with more action based on Chpt 4.
Thanks for reading!
Not my usual but
You have a great sense of intrigue. I've always felt that a good author is a good author no matter what the storyline. Even though this isn't a genre that would usually appeal to me, you have a gift for adding depth to your characters that is rare and the plot only gets better with each chapter. Am looking forward to more.
Thank you
excellent writing
excellent writing
New Fan
As a lover of fantasy writing in general, I appreciate your erotic take on drow culture. After just having finished reading the 3rd chapter, I must admit that you have captured in D'Shea and Rausery two important elements of drow society- layer after layer of subterfuge vs martial prowess. In the center we have a new initiate learning from both and making her own way. I can't wait to read the next chapter! Thank you for your imagination, research of drow, and new erotic flavor. Please keep writing!
poor gaelan!
she doesnt seem entirely suitable to be a red sister, lacking aggressiveness. perhaps an effect of the compulsion dhsea put on her. but being at the bottom for 5 years could be wearing her down tho she has survived. these earlier chapters are shorter but very much enjoyable. thansk etaski!
perhaps...
The difference between painting and sculpture? Painting, the artist adds layers. Until they decide that there are enough to reveal the artist's intentions.
With sculpture, the artist removes layers until deciding that they have revealed the figure that had been hiding within.
I have seen both happen to people. Those like the character Sirana, who build up layers of personality from their life experiences. As in creating a painting.
I suspect Gaelan is the second type of person. Whose life experiences chip and erode away the unnecessary self-defeating feelings of inferiority. Eventually to reveal and release the once hidden sculpture of ability.
curse not the darness...
Etaski, It's been nagging the back of my mind, from an earlier chapter when you mentioned that in the Subterranean darkness that available modes of sight, without an available light, could not read two-dimensional characters.
All these clever people and no one has thought to develop writing systems based on intaglio such as engravings or embossed such as Braille?
Either would be legible to any of the non-light vision methods you mentioned.
This just gets better and better
If you read my first comment earlier on you first chapter in these series(sisterhood) You'll know that you've corrected my one major grip I had, the shorter length of the chapters. I must say. I've alwasy loved the Forgotten Realms, and particularly anything to do with Drow. R.A Slavator is one of my favorite authors, and I wish more authors focused on the Drow as he has with a couple different series. You have definitely done the setting justice.
As I'm reading through this now, my one Hope is that it is finished, and finished in a way you feel truly happy with.....and don't leave to many cliff hangers for me to agonize over
