I didn't love it. Couldnt quite figure out why as it seemed a well written and paced piece. Having thought about it for a while, I realized its simply a matter of my personal taste and nothing more.

While this may seem a backhanded compliment, I hope it is not taken as such. Quite the opposite really. I read and read and read simply because it was so well done. I struggle to think of a corollary that would explain myself but the best I can come up with is a movie that you dont love but you feel youd be remiss if you didnt see it because the acting is so damn good. To me, this is an even bigger positive than if it had been something comfortable and familiar. The work forced me to read more of it due to its high quality. I am actually inclined to believe the failure in loving it comes from my own limitations as a reader and not the author as a storyteller. Bravo sir. This was excellently written and thought out well. The only thing i could see that you need to work on is your timeline. In the beginning it was hard to know where we were in the story (such as what age he was at a given time.) Also there were a couple of times the progression of actions didn't match up with the way you were describing with your previous words. That aside like i said this was an excellent story. The slow build up always makes a story so much more than a quicky. Looking forward to th next installment.

There is some very good stuff in here. The strongest part is the realism and the focus on the family dynamics and relationship between the mother and son. The weakest part is the length. The story could have been half as long and lost none of its strengths. Don't ever be afraid to put entire chapters on the chopping block. A big part of becoming a fiction writer is learning what parts of a story or novel to get rid of and being totally ruthless about it. I don't usually post comments but I am doing so in this case because your story shows great potential.

It has all the usual expecteds of a good story, well developed plot, full fleshed out living breathing characters. What gets me the most though is the choices made. Im terrible at deconstructing everything here. I don't negative it but I do tend to be at odds with the why of what was done. Call it creative differences most of the time.

This is different. You might disagree to the whys and wherefores but damn it if not a page or two later it makes perfect sense. After a few instances of this you start to trust the author moreso than yourself (because he/she knows the full lay of the land) You go along with the madness knowing you'll end up the other side all the better for it. I told you this work was transcendent.

I will admit to not having finished the entire work (1 & 2) yet as it is lengthy and dense as well (I find myself rereading passages not because they are muddled but just because I want to be fully aware of everything going on so I might not lessen the experience for myself later not having focused and "kept up." Even if it should go completely off the rails ( I highly doubt it) it is worthy of a 5 star vote if only for the experience its given me so far.

I know this will seem wordy and perhaps draw ire from fellow readers, commentators, whatever.

So be it.

I invested my time to hopefully make sure at least one or many souls won't pass on this work.

You need a better way to navigate. I ran out of time at section 14 and to get back next day, had to work my way through these 14 parts before I caught up.

Great story in many ways. I saw the real parenting in this story. Its difficult to read all the pages at a time but the narration made it. A perfect, dynamic and confident women was depicted in this story. As a single mother jenny is done her job well and did everything for the growth of her son. Only once he become a full grown man and she understood that she is the center of his life and she allowed him. That too not just in a submissive but like a real women she teased him played with him and given her love. I most admired the way she taken him as her lover but still holds her respectable mother position. Really wonderful story.

This story morphs from Incest to Romance; and after realizing it, my ONLY concern is that at some point they should start calling each other via petnames like "honey, luv, dear" or using their actual names instead of Mom or Son (they can not make a mistake). 28 Pages means if search for words or Phrases - obviously you have them but up to reader to search for them. How inconsiderate of the author - not to mention lazy. PLEASE show the story in maybe 28 chapters so if searching for a specific phrase know where to find it -- or would that be considerate of the author and therefore unable to do.

yes, it was an interesting story, but it just kept going, and going, and going. it took forever for them to even get together emotionally.

The buildup was really amazing, but once they started mutually having foreplay, it dove. I didn't really find it erotic. And once they actually became lovers it dropped even more, the comical sexual jokes and innuendos didn't really do it for me. Plus the need to reinforce that they were romantically together calling each other "lover" every other sentence was down right annoying. It picked back up near the end though when they were reminiscing, and told Marsh how they were together.

Holy crap..The build it was far too long and a lot of unnecessary crap in it. The 28 chapters could have easily been cut by 10 chapters. yes the starting parts where his mother consoles him that its NORMAL for a teenage boy to have crush on women and the way she redirected his energy into positive things is awsome. .... not just a two or three page stroker. The characters are totally believable, the hormone riddled teenager and the career woman totally cognisant of what is at risk both career wise and socially. Add to that the emotional tug-of-war caused by her desires for the relationship, but her fears if it doesn't last, and it becomes very easy to live the take with them.

If ever there is a rewrite or editing, based on all the comments regarding the length, splitting these 28 pages after the 4th of July would make for a more manageable read. And imho, Marsh and Shawn were not needed and added nothing to the story.
