...reading this story thru to the end. I don't understand how the author justify's to himself the time wasted writing it. Well written, but just a horrible, horrible story.

Where was the revenge?
Brandon gets a job and pays child support. It won't take him long to pack up and disappear. No revenge there. He embarrasses the old man, but there's no real revenge there. Cecily got embarrassed but she wasn't really of any consequence to him anyway. And Lori goes back to her wealthy lifestyle with her Father. Minimal satisfaction for him there. He's still stuck with a daughter that has a young child from an asshole Father. A constant reminder of his failures. He does get Bridget in the end, but after all he's been through, that felt like more of a consolation prize. So I saw no revenge for John and a lot of regrets that he will live with forever. Not exactly the combination for a good or entertaining story. Thanks for the effort, but this really sucked.
In spite of the four negative comments I read, I think your story is fantastic! I gave it a five! To all the naysayers, I say, "It isn't your story! I'm sure you wouldn't have written it this way, but FrancisMacomber did. It is his story, so STFU!" Well done, sir!
