.. her friend who accommodates her so quickly, and it is unstated as to male or female? No quickly-rented hotel room, but accommodation sounded like already arranged. And seeing as how the home was vacant at the time of confrontation, why not go there and bar husband's entry?

1 page is not a chapter

I liked the writng but a single page is way to short to be called a chapter.
Basically it just wastes my time, so 1 Star.

Short Chapters are OK

See James Patterson. I do think if you are comfortable with short chapters, you should complete two or three at a time for each submission. This has promise.

Honestly I appreciate all comments and i agree 1 page is not long enough to be called a chapter. honestly i will see about getting it changed into parts. in word it was eight pages long LOL

I chose 3... for the simple fact it states 'Keep on writing'. Very good start. This is something that could go somewhere. Look forward to more, for sure!

As to the one who wonder whether this friend was male/female and why they were so accepting of this person's sudden arrival.... I got the impression the friend was already privy to this woman's line of thought, which would indicate a close relationship, be it sisters or best friends. Whether the friend is male or female is irrelevant.

I think one page is good for your FIRST attempt. And I think you are off to a good start. In just this brief chapter I already feel sympathy for Lillia and I already don't like Derek. So there is some connection with the characters. Keep writing. I want to see where this goes.

Great start, but please don't keep us waiting and I hope the unanswered questions all other comments have said will be answered soon. I'm fine with short chapters providing you're not going to keep us waiting for months on end like many other writers on here. Have a lot of chapters ready to submit.

So typical of so many writers on here lately, they fall of the face of the earth, even when there are comments about their stories bot being continued, maybe it's just me, but it'd be nice if the writers would at least acknowledge the fact that readers are asking if and when it'll be continued.
