Example "You'd; tell mom and dad?" - Why use one after 'You'd'?

The semicolon (;) has only one major use. It is used to join two complete sentences into a single written sentence when all of the following conditions are met:

(1) The two sentences are felt to be too closely related to be separated by a full stop;

(2) There is no connecting word which would require a comma, such as and or but;

(3) The special conditions requiring a colon are absent.

English is not my first language, I guess you can tell that.

Originally I did not place even one semicolon in this story, but apparently the editors of the website itself disapproved of the way it was written at first and thus referred me to a helpful section right here in Literotica. According to what was written there semicolons - ; - are apparently a pause that is slightly longer than what a comma would be. And so, thats how I used them when editing this. Yes I guess having an editor would have been more effective, but I thought I could just do it myself...
