This was a decent, bordering on semi-amusing read. The plot was always active, if not constant in it's credence. A messy moral problem was posed for the narrator who is normally a person of high minded, hard working bent. He opted to sink to his opponents' level. This is where things start to become unglued.

As a fan of martial arts ( albeit as a much as a 50 year old guy with a bad knee can be ), I was baited into reading this with mention of JKD values, the narrator evinced but gave little direct correlation too in his actions.

Dialogue sharpness was given short shrift. As a one-off, quick read this is of four star quality. I didn't wince, in the process of completing this story, except for thinking what this story could have been.

The narrator and author achieved their ostensible goals and yet with deeper reflection could have done better. I wish the latter person good luck in the future, in that regard.

Could someone explain to me why so many LW stories have the cheated husband hook up with the wife of the guy who is screwing his wife? I would never want to dip my wick into the same well an asshole like that has been using for years, and to be with someone who would be a constant reminder of the guy my wife cheating on me with. Yet it seems that half of the cheating wife stories have the guy end up with the ex-wife of the asshole who cuckolded him. I just don't get it.

Morant apparently didn't read the entire story since it specifically says near the end of page 2 that the "hero" took advantage of an IRS tax amnesty and paid taxes on the money from the Cayman account. In a tax amnesty you don't get off Scot-free, you pay your taxes and interest; you just don't get sent to jail.

Also, why so serious. These stories are fun not real life and I, for one, liked it a lot because it had a theme I've never seen before. Would you have liked it better if he just killed the guys screwing his wife or just divorced her when it wasn't economically desirable?

At least one answer to you question is that the approach you describe is the easy way out for Lit.com authors. Most of these people are pretty rank amateurs and they cannot handle any sort of complexity. They get near the end of a story and they just want to rush through it in order to post it. After all, they have described the sex, and that is their principle objective.

Let's see....What happened in this tale. A beautiful woman marries and becomes a cheating skank slut wife. Husband finds out and decides to make a profit on it. Husband meets the wife of one of her lovers and hooks up with her after the divorce.
Now to business. Since the wife wasn't paid she was just a promiscuous slut wife fucking anybody she wanted. Since the husband was charging her lovers to fuck her that makes him her business agent, or her pimp, whichever you prefer. In the end everyone got what they wanted, except the dickhead in jail. The bottom line: this tale has the worst type of people involved and all should live in agonizing pain. One good thing is that this could only happen on Mars so we never have to deal with this creatures. Got it? Good.

The husband, and later his new wife Cilla, spend a good piece of the story raging about the materialism of their cheating spouses, yet he spends the entire story pimping out his wife for profit, and he and his new fiancee crow about just how rich they're going to be because he's getting the top side of a divorce. So unbelievably hypocritical in its worship of the God Materialism that it would be funny... except that it seems like you as an author didn't mean it to be.

Then there's the whole "she's lying to me every day, wah wah" when he's ummm... doing the same thing and oh, that "cheating"? It's going on with his approval, and his encouragement so that he can rake in big bucks from the guys who fuck her. That's not cheating. It's definitely sluttish, but when your husband says okay, pimp or not that makes him a cuckold bitch. Especially when he's taking sloppy fourths on his own wife's pussy at the very end of their marriage.

I wonder just what Cilla would think if she found out her beloved new hubby spent the entire relationship manipulating her, not because he loved her, but to get revenge on her husband. Bernice is a one dimensional character with no redeeming qualities (apart from being "a good fuck"). The ending would have been better if our hero had given the $40,000 clear profit to Bernice. He's supposed to be wealthy so why keep it?

First, I enjoyed the story, certainly worth five points.
Second, why do all these commenters call everyone a wimp? The guy was fooled at first, but quickly realized his marriage was only about sex. From there he took advantage of the situation. That wasn't a wimp; that was a shrewd businessman.
Third, why the disguise. The philanderers he dealt with would have made the same business decisions, and if they didn't Bernice would have found suitable replacements.
Of course the whole thing is preposterous, but it was a fun read.
