I guess I would classify it as a lovely fantasy. I'm cynical....
Lovely story. Non-erotic, yes, but Romance would have been more appropriate.
It's nice once in a while to read something that makes you feel warm inside.
My wife and I both enjoyed your story very much.We both hope that you will carry on writing in this vein.
Thank you for the nice comments. They are always appreciated. It makes a writer feel good when readers take the time to respond to a story. Even if sometimes they may be on the negative side. Oh! Happy Valentine's day to you.

Thanks for a warm story about a romance between two ordinary people, who are satisfied with their lives, and not looking for the unattainable, Five stars
This really moved well. Very good. A pleasure to read.
Thank you,

Darn, must be some allergies going on here too.
DG you did a nice job of building the characters and their interpersonal relationships, especially between the older and younger generations. Really enjoyed this Valentines Day story.
Not perfect, a bit dry at times but it is much stronger than your other entries, therefore it gets the 5.
Watch the use of "I" to begin sequential sentences - it is somewhat grating to see it 3 or 4 times in a row.
A damned good story, DG. Well told and with a better point than many.

Heartwarming and enjoyable.
You could have based Ben's character on my own father...you have described him exactly as he was.
Thank you.
Five stars.
I enjoyed reading a true believable story experience.
I admit, I cried for the sadness but also for the happiness that was expressed.
Continue your great work.

It is that time of year here LOL
Well done and totally believable - no big surprises but romance is not always about surprise but about people and happiness.
My allergies were in full bloom as I was reading this story. Another great piece of work. Thank you.
It is a welcome change to like the characters and read with a smile in my heart.
I didn't think those damn allergy bugs would be contagious over the internet . Pass the tissue, please
Dangerous mission. When you write a story for Literotica, the last group you would consider as a subject for something interesting is seniors. Yet, you tackled these dangerous waters with brilliance. When you think of seniors, too often you think of a bunch of old farts that have nothing better to do then repeat their own old stories over and over again. Too often you forget that these old farts are yesterday's hot shot who did their best with the tools available to them at the time. They did not have the tools and facilities of today. They had to invent them so they can be used today with their latest improvements. Let's also remember that the old farts of tomorrow are the hot shots of today: you and me!
The weaving of the two generations in this story is a masterpiece. Yesterday's accomplishments with the hopes and accomplishments of today's generation with its hopes and love is a feast for the brain. Congratulations and thank you.

I guess I need to say "allergies were running pretty high" here also while reading this story. Great story with a very happy ending. Anyone that works in an assisted living or nursing home, has my gratitude and thanks. It's mostly a low paying and thankless job that can be depressing, especially when some of the "guest" pass on. Loved the story.
Great story. Found out that that I have allergies too.
