Good for her. This is clearly the opening half of a longer account of that evening, and might have worked better as a composite piece, but I do like the combination of naivety and naughtiness. I really hope she doesn't end up being passed around at these parties like a piece of meat: her mention here of the affair with Roland shows our anonymous innocent abroad is sexually active, but is no slut.
