She was burned once, sees it coming again (although we aren't told how....that process could have been an interesting addition after the fact) and sets about to not be stepped on again. She gives him a bit of his own medicine to see if that is enough to shock him into behaving himself. After all, we don't know that she is actually doing anything! She may be willing to come home to a husband in divorce mode, because she might be in divorce mode herself. There could be an interesting set of sequels here from a variety of perspectives.

I love that you had the balls to do a cheating husband story, with a man getting the BTB that hurts most - belief that his wife is going to cheat on him despite his ridiculously jealous and hypocritical views on cheating being okay for him and not her. It would be even more savory if we had verification that she never actually did it and simply let him believe it, while simultaneously kicking his ass to the curb, but the story is good as is. Thanks for showing some grit and doing a story that shows that it does happen on the other side, and isn't completely excused just because he's a guy. First let me clear one thing up from some of the dumber comments. The story clearly and unequivocally says that Delilah-lite was a ¨new¨adition to the site, that is after our hero had been on two months. You do not have to be Albert Einstein to figure out that she came on after finding out about his activities; how does not make a difference.

In my humble opinion this story deserves a 5 for originality alone. I do not see how it rates an average of less than 3.

Second paragraph, second sentence: "My wife, Carolyn, at that time as well as now even at age forty two was and is hot." Without a doubt, here is the most convoluted, awkward sentence produced in a fortnight by anyone, anywhere.

This story concept could be developed into something more entertaining, shall we say, in more capable hands. The writing is typical bar room story telling; very linear and flat with a little dialogue thrown in for good measure. There isn't any character development. The (autobiographical, I presume) husband displays little insight and didn't learn a thing from his last disastrous affair. Then there is the barely concealed cuckoldry early in the story (Carolyn withholds sex while making him perform multiple times for her) that manifests itself fully at the end when Carolyn leaves with Mr. Horsecock, a more powerful male. Hubby can only grin and take it.

I thought it was okay

Reasonably original story-line: a shoe-on-the-other-foot payback story. The guy was a cheating POS, didn't learn his lesson the first time. He also comes off as an insecure, narcisistic douchebag. The author did elicit my contempt for him, and my sympathy for the wife; so their was some emotional response from this reader, at least. Someone else commented that it had the tone of a bar-room tale: I agree. It was compact, but rather flat. It had the makings of a decent flash story, but it needed to be tighter. A little cleverness would have helped, too. Aside from the self-deprecating mention of being a dumb jock, it was told with a straight face.
I think the author's defense of his story goes a little far-it had it's good points, but don't build it up to be what it ain't. That said, very few stories that don't satisfy the BTB crowd will do better than 4.0, and most won't reach that level. It's just the way it is. I'm guessing, if the characters were reversed (i.e., wife was trolling the dating site and hubby busted her and got his fuck on as revenge), your score would be a full point higher, which represents the inflated scores BTB stories get. I think it deserves a 3.5 (in between), so I gave it a 4.
