I do disagree with the comment about expecting Brittany to join them. I think that if Kurt had doubts about getting involved with a married woman even with the concent of all involved, he would have real issues with doing both mother and daughter. And I don't seem Christi being ok with it either.
I CAN see Kurt becoming a councilor/father-figure to her and helping her with a boyfriend issue or selection. Frankly, I can imagine Kurt completely replacing joe as the head of his neighbors family.
