if her mom named her then her birth cert would have her birth name on it right? if so they could use that for legal things.

That's a good point, Iron Dragon. I would think one of the main characters would look this up, especially Emma. Probably will now since she's pregnant.

I hope they look it up before it's too late. If they have the discussion and decide to abort, and the parents find out, it could break them all. I do NOT want to see this end in tragedy. The sad part is that they have no reason to disbelieve their parents. I just hope the author figures out a good workaround for this plot point.

Such a beautiful story

If I adopted a child and he/she fell in love with a sibling I wouldn't think it was immoral but I would be concerned of what would happen to the family dynamic if things didn't work out. This is a great story. He loves her so thoroughly. It's the kind of love we all hope for!

Relationship

I'm starting to think that Sams dad is Emma's real father, so then they would be half siblings. I'm guessing that's why their so against it. Just a guess though, love the story so far.

The ideas that are flowing from this story are endless. Every time you think the end is within reach--it appears to be just the calm before the fucking SHIT STORM!!!!!
Loving it to the point where I would happily say, "I do" this spectacular piece of literature...

Love the story but...

The inconsistencies regarding the pregnancy are distracting... MD tells her she's 4 weeks along, but it had only been two weeks since she'd taken the valium. Seems like a small detail, but since the pregnancy is such a big part of the story it creates an unnecessary whole in the plot. Either way Sam and Emma are awesome.

Pregnant Pause and Praise

The pregnancy details are accurate. Gestation is counted from the first day of the last period. I know these things, I'm an OB Nurse- have been for 18 years. This writer has done her homework! Great job on this story. The details, the plot development the motives of the characters-all top notch.
