Not well researched

Not a bad plot, but if I might make a suggestion, if you are going to write about a period and place, you might do some research first. The London that you write about didn't exist during WW2. Pubs didn't sell meals, just beer and spirits, that is if they could get any. The big stores on Bond Street, sold utility clothing, nothing special. restaurants sold what they could get, horsemeat, rabbit, whatever. BTW The Brits and their allies had been doing pretty good holding off the Nazi's, long before the Americans arrived.
