Your start was amazing but in my opinion utterly ruined by the whole male wolf female best friend thing .She's living with a rapist who left her emotionally scarred ....it just doesn't sit right .Sorry:-(

I find it quite horrible that Sarah seems to suffer absolutely no tangible guilt or contrition for ruining her best friend. The brutal rape has left Lina with serious permanent scarring (both physical and mental), and has directly caused her to be all but ostracised amongst her own people. Even with Lina lying to try to protect Sarah's feelings, the ongoing damage done to Lina and the pain she still suffers, both physical and mental, is so totally obvious, and yet Sarah is still aggressive in her sexual interest in Lina.

I cannot understand how Lina can forgive and still live on such an intimate level with her rapist. And I cannot understand how Sarah can be so unfeeling and blasé at all but destroying her best friend. I mean, with friends like that who needs enemies?

Why doesn't the vampire just through in the wolf's face, "sorry I don't like doing X, Y, or Z because you raped me!"
