Nice story I would love for my wife to do this hopefully soon one of these days.

Sense of time

At the start of your story you mention the action takes place " a couple weeks ago". But at the end you have the adventurous wife disclose "to this day I have never told Jeff what had happened". To this day has the reader infer that a long time has passed and actually that would add spice to the story. A long held secret is one she treasures.

Also, this story begs for a companion piece explaining what Jeff and Rita did on their walk!
