They're generally either Indo-Iranian (Pashtuns, Hazaras, etc.) or Turkic (Uzbeks, Turkmen, etc.). Less than 1% of the Afghan population has Arab roots, mostly recent immigrants. Even Wikipedia would have told you as much.
