Your poem was very moving and is indeed a lovely memory to keep of your mom and dad together in the afterlife and the fact they let you know they are happy and are still watching over you to keep you safe.
Rejoice in their memory and all the good times you had. God Bless you and your family.
Being I lost my dad almost 3 weeks ago this poem just touches my heart. I could hear him say the same thing to me. Thanks for sharing *hugs*
Well said Brandy, in a word "moving" and i have had that same dream be it life long friends, pets and family members ive lost, they always visit me one last time.
Clearly written from the heart, and there's no finer place. Miss the folk you loved but rejoice in your life and those who remain with you.
You had me hooked in for the whole ride on this poem, loved it 5ed
...keep drawing me back to it for personal reasons so it has now deservedly been added it to my favourites.
If sickly sweet sentimentality equated to good poetry this would win the prize. However, it does not and this isnot good poetry by any objective standard. I did not give it a star mark at all.
I disagree with the last person who commented. I think the number of people who made it a favourite do too.
The story in the poem is lovely, the sentiment is beautiful and I enjoyed it very much.
I am sure the message has given you great comfort whilst dealing with your grief. I like to think our loved ones who have passed on always watch over us and want us to enjoy our life to the full before & after they've gone. Great work. I hope you write more.
I love the poem and the dream.
I have too many stars to look at
but it's the hope that one day my star
shines beside there.
