I'm so impressed with the scope of the history here. I love how you take your character from his youth to his deathbed, always focused on this intriguing woman.

The fact that he was so overwhelmed by the subject of his research is something that I actually got a little jealous of. I've always enjoyed doing research but wish I could have found such a fascinating topic when I was in college!

Incorporating his dreams was a touch close to my heart.

Not a re-write. I wrote this about a year back and have been going back to it to try and self edit it. I finally decided to just post it and go work on something else

This was an outstanding read. I always hope for longer stories, but you seem to always pull off the short ones so well. I still want longer ones from you, but if they're all this good, I'll settle for any length.
