Mm, that deal won't be easy to fulfill... the characters are genuine and they react realistically to whatever happens. Well, as realistically as you can react to things involving demons and hell... hopefully the next chapter answers the question of whether or not Steve will accept Mephistopheles (or Stoph, or Meph, or Phil, or whatever nickname you can come up with for him)
on a side note, your description of Lucifer is so similar to mine that I'm wondering whether I should even post the next chapter of my story now...

Lucifer flared, 'Stop your babbling...' A fan favorite, first story, originally published years ago so nothing I comment on changes anything. At the risk of setting off fan wrath, I agree with Lucifer's orders. Despite the chapter's brevity, it rambled. This section could not have been eliminated as the deal was needed to implement the spine of the plot.

For those of us who have not read this story yet I think this was a good and necessary chapter to set the deal in place. If I do remember in one of your other stories there is mention of Stoph (in his full name) being the first demon to fall in love so I am looking forward to seeing how this develops and how Steve takes the news
