Thank you for posting this one - it was really very good. The only thing I can fault it on was in your first line; no-one I know refers to themselves as British in these nationalistic times. I am English and proud of it; I have Scottish, Northern Irish and Welsh friends who would never think of themselves as British, and rightly so.
Still, this isn't about English/Scottish/Welsh/Irish identity, but a fine story! Well done - five stars.
