Ah, this seems like the jj of old.

Dog Park has been one of my favorites and, while somewhat shorter, this story reminded me of that. The only thing missing is the "fierce" kisses. For a while there I thought you were wandering off the reservation, so it feels great you are "back".

Very interesting

There are very few stories that do what was done here. Two gay persons of the opposite sex, become a hetero couple.There is another story quite a bit longer on this site which really explores this in great detail, and is exceptional.
That being said, you did a fine job too.

In my opinion, many of jjjr stories winding up with a relationship between different gender gays, is the author expressing that the physical/mechanical act of sexual reproduction is physical and genetically programmed into us as biological creatures.

Completely separate from the issues of sexual pleasure and entertainment. That recreational sex has layers of influence, starting with our biology and then our families, friends, school chums, work mates, neighbors, teachers, religions, and a slew of authority figures pile on to manipulate our internal vision of ourselves and how we relate to others.

I think the author is an idealist, who believes that people can control their own lives and destiny through kindness, generosity, honesty, sharing love in addition to sharing sex in a community that supports these family values and emotional bonds.
