In Defense of the Author

I think that the opinions of the earlier commenters are myopic and overly harsh. The writing expresses intellectual coarseness and probably could benefit from less hostility being directed towards the woman. But, in my view, the redemption of the work is that it is a decent attempt at portraying the private thoughts of a young horny male in the company of a woman whom he doesn't respect. He doesn't want the women, but only the sex. Sorry ladies, but guys on the prowl (sometimes) think exactly like the author has expressed. As we age, most/some of us realize that it is not worth pursuing a woman that we do not respect and want as a partner. But, in
our younger days our motivations were narrower. And, if a woman were to be such an airhead as the woman presented in this story, we would avail ourselves of her presentation.

I'm all for a challenge, but fuckin hell! I probably would have parted ways with her at the restaurant, and if not then, surely when I caught the gruesome sight of that bloodbath you described. At that point I would have saved myself some dignity, and just let my buddy have her. I'm never opposed to a little crimson tide, but not when it's in full flow.
