Ambivalent

The carnal side is impeccably detailed, but the bond between Annie & anyone else was left fallow. No humor and just the minimum tenderness amidst the heat left me cold. I'm theorizing that Goldeniangel set this story to overdrive and overkill for a literary Viking funeral.

That's too bad because there are possibilities if the character possibilities are explored, instead of the Sybian. Anyway I enjoyed a very high percentage of this series and thank the author for sharing. There's no machine I know of that can replicate the charge of GA's singular talent.

Totally enjoyed the series. I understand that it needed to come to a close , but I hated to see it end.

I love it when people have to read all 5 parts before they complain about the content. If your delicate sensibilities were that ruffled, you'd have been gone after chapter two.

From a perverted girl's point of view, I can put myself in Annie's shoes. But the story itself was incredibly hot.
But to the jackasses that commented before, why wait until the LAST chapter to put in a bad comment. You obviously enjoyed it enough that you went through allnfibe chapters.

I can sympathize...

I can sympathize with those who complained about the story. Understand, I liked it. It was hot and Annie enjoyed what happened to her as often as not, and she even goes so far as to say she wouldn't change a thing. That's what makes it hot.

However...Mark is a rapist and I'm willing to bet there were people who slogged through the whole story hoping for Mark to get his comeuppance, which never happened. I was disappointed by that as well, because if it was up to me...in real life... every rapist would meet an end that would make the Spanish Inquisition look like a picnic. The story had hot sex, really twisted psychological erotica and an almost absolutely perfect payoff...except the rapist didn't suffer.

So yeah, I can see where those who waited until the end to complain are coming from. I still gave it 4 stars though, even with the omission of what would have made me most satisfied at the end.

Found this series a while ago and just got to finishing it now.
I actually like the relationship between Annie and Mark, just enough light care to go along with the rough.
I don't condone these kind of actions in real life, but that's why I'm reading it on a site and not walking in a dark alley in the middle of the night.
Love seeing someone writing a sybian themed story well, and in the noncon area as well. One of my new favorites.
