Decently-written, but...

Why did you make them married (to other people)? It added nothing to the story that I could see, and it ruined it for those of us who do not care to read about "cheating". After we saw their rings I almost stopped reading, but decided to see if there was some storyline reason you gave them spouses (there wasn't).
