Have Ashley make Lindsey seduce the wife and find evidence of her cheating on him. Then wrap it up with love triumphant with him and Ashley.

Interesting concept!

Having Lindsey seduce the wife, never thought of that concept! Of course, after you read the next chapter you might think the wife would go for it!

that was pretty much a throw away

that "chapter" could easily have been folded into any of the others. It really didn't offer much. the doubts, possible options, and speculation were superfluous to the storyline.
