Barely breathing...

You did it again.... This story reams and eviscerates me. And at the end, I heave a sigh of relief. It lays out repulsion and desire, here two faces of the same need.

It brought to mind Johnny Cash's rendition of Hurt, to which I'm listening while coming down off your writing.

I'm so glad he took off with Hal. Hal could offer him love and certainly wouldn't be a disappointment in bed. And he wasn't just wanting him for sex, uncaring that he caused his father's death.
