You're a fine writer, and most of your stories that I've read involve greater character development than this one. But beyond character development, the key to a really good story is to have some sort of meaningful conflict ending with a resolution. This story had no real conflict. It was much more of a stroke story. And of course that's a specialty for this site. But you've shown an ability to take stories to the next level.

I didn't rate it at all, because I saw the high rating and don't want to spoil that for you. It's just not my cup of tea. Your longer stories usually hit the spot for me. Keep up the good work - just remember the need for a conflict and its resolution. Thanks for sharing.
