A Case of the Munchies

I understood it very little if at all, (not for lack of trying).
A few ideas came to my mind but I could not be sure if they were in the right direction, so I will not say what they were.
If I was to write a piece like this I would just state clearly what I'm getting at and leave it at that.
I would still high mark it though if I had the option.

Four small dishes

My take on this is that is four separate poems (separated by double line spacing) that are not really connected and that Leopold does not want to submit individually (hence the term munchies).

I like the first that takes a swingers meet as its start & particularly the lines “I am protected always My back never allowed to be exposed” and then morphs into Swiss processed cheese.

The second seems basically a take on Chinese whispers writ large & the third on someone selling dodgy pizzas. The last was a bit metaphysical which is probably why it lost me.

I liked and enjoyed the first three & maybe would the last if I understood it.

Long poems rarely hold my attention to the end, especially self absorbed ones, and I was struggling to hold on with this one. One thing (and proof I got to the end!) shouldn't that be 'Homo sapiens are lost upon a stony path' ?
