FA_JF misunderstands...everybody whores themselves at some point in life. Those very few that haven't had to make a horrible concession to survive or get ahead are probably among that rarified few that lord it over the masses. Those few are the ones everyone else is just waiting for an opportunity to destroy as painfully and degradingly as possible. That's just the truth of life. Sometimes in life you're the bug. Sometimes you're the windshield. The secret is to limit your time being the bug. That's all our protagonist is trying to do.
