Yes! I know exactly what you mean. I have had readers skewer Rafia for her behavior in this, but I don't understand that kind of a reading at all. To me, she seems brave and strong. She is one of my favorite characters.

This is so good! It turned out so well for rafia, and she enjoyed her times at the party and later. 😁 so much better than what I thought wojd happen with her becoming a regualt ,party favor, at all of the later high school parties, too, and not just that one.
